Gothic Literature

An ornate wrought-iron gate, twisted into baroque patterns of thorns and roses, stands half open at the edge of a fog-choked cemetery. Cracked gravestones lean at odd angles in the background, some nearly swallowed by creeping ivy, while a lone stone angel with broken wings looms in soft focus. Pale moonlight filters through low clouds, creating a cold, silvery rim light along the gate and wet cobblestones beneath. Photographic realism with a slightly low angle and rule-of-thirds composition, emphasizing the gate as a threshold into the strange world beyond, darkly atmospheric yet inviting curiosity.
